Anti-Star Struck

If you weren't who you say you were, then I'd might stare at you

for days until my eyes fell off from my 25-year-old face...

Scary, but very true, I refuse to get star struck the way you do.

Ever since you accused me of envy, I can't bear to see your face again...

I don't think envy, I don't act envy, and I am not envy at all in my life.

You sound and probably are so insecure with you that you brought out

the very worst in me and most likely the very worst in you too.

Perhaps I should have known that it was you that gets my attention,

but then again, I don't care for the celebrity that you show to the world...

Maybe, just maybe, I could have reacted in a much better fashion.

I can't get this anti-star struck feeling out of my system at all,

however, I like it that way, and I refuse to become star struck.

I have grown, I have changed, and therefore, I am a humble being

that would only get star struck after the day I die here on earth.

And my death will not happen anytime soon so don't push your luck.

I'd rather be the humble being that I was born to be here on earth

and not some asshole that only wants to sleep with me or use me

for my body in any way, shape or even form whatsoever, since

I was raised to worship my higher power and to respect my body.

If only I was your one and only then I would have given up my body

to you and only you... to where I would bear your future children.

But now that we are two different beings and apart from each other,

it's best that you and I would be only civil to one another for all time.

I am not who you think I am at all, I know me much better than you...

so when I end this story once and for all, you shall see the light of reality

that struck you far too late in your life... oh wait... I meant far too soon.

Now that I am so very proud to say that I am very anti-star struck,

I can now live my life without regretting anything at all ever again.

And you will pay the price for the falseness you brought to my life.

Maybe not today nor tomorrow, but one day, and soon...

Readers: This work is brand new. I thought of this one in the midst of my quarrel with a certain someone that I was close to. She knows who she is. Hopefully people can treat others with the respect that they deserve and not accuse others of what all know isn't true. Enjoy otherwise!

Superhero Lover

Everything you promised me then, I want...

I yearn for you, my superhero kind of lover.

In case you didn't know by now, I'm all yours,

yours to save, yours to love, and yours to protect.

I don't ask for much nor am I a damsel in distress,

but you always save me from the losers and assholes

that only want my body and not the whole me.

I could have fallen for you then, but I

refuse to fall for anything and everything...

as I stand for something and someone that is special.

You never assumed my judgement as an evil wrong,

and you waited and waited for me to go to your arms,

and because of your patience, I'm eternally yours.

A star falls, and I wished for my version of

a superhero for a lover, yet my answer wasn't

immediately answered, but that answer came at the best

of timings in my life, when I was supposed to die

for a crime that I know I didn't commit at all.

Because of your love, I've changed completely

to become a much better person in my own life.

Now that our stars in the night sky are aligned,

You will always be "The One" for my heart,

and as we sit here in this bed together...

you simply are my superhero kind of lover.

Comfortably Numb

In your arms is the only place where I can truly belong,

and in your arms is where I feel so comfortably numb...

so comfortably numb, I can safely fall asleep here

to where I don't need to be anywhere else tonight.

Since all you want to do to me is to make sweet love

to a fragile body that belongs to me and only me,

I will be yours for an infinite number of lifetimes

and well beyond in the future history of the world.

You found me when I was dying a painful death,

nursed me back to the fullest of all healths;

all before we naturally fell in love, and in time,

what I once was will be no more after long.

You told me your darkest secrets and whatnot,

as I did and much more around the same time

I came back to my senses after my near death...

so now we are definitely made for each other.

I could've realized this feeling sooner rather than now,

but life throws me daggers in which I duck and dodge

to where I get overly sidetracked and lose my way

from where I started to where I am right now.

You and I have come to the center of a circle

of a fate that only brought us closer together,

so when I lay in your arms from now on...

I will always feel so very comfortably numb.

I am somewhat torn, but then again... never mind

Let's see here... I know something that most don't, and for that, it's killing me inside. I can't go into further detail as to why I feel that way, but then again, I'll explode if I do... so what does a girl like me to do???????????????? I might as well stay the fuck out of the way, and let things happen all by itself, RIGHT??????????????? I honestly don't know what to do now. I know something that shouldn't be revealed to the public, so I'll just shut up. Other than that... I am in a pretty good mood overall, which translates to the following: "Virginia, if you're happy, then WHY are you torn the way you are??????" Anyhoo, I have to type up a poem (which won't be here on Blogger) to give to my Uncle Allen for his wedding present when I see him during the first weekend in August. I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun, and I'll get away from the chaos in Illinois, so I'll be reflecting when I get back to Illinois after a fun stay in NC for four days. Well, I have to get going now. I have to make sure I get my errands done today before work. I will write again soon, either with another journal entry or a poem. Peace!

Take it Easy on Me... Please

My fragile heart has been broken by him...

and I don't want you to be the next one

that breaks my fragile heart in two... please.

Just take our love slow, don't rush a thing.

We have a lifetime to get what we want in this life.

I could beg for a little family now and regret later,

yet that is not me... it will never be me to beg that way.

I always knew that you were that special someone for me

but I didn't know how I was going to find you at all.

There was a point... in my young life... where I thought

that I wasn't going to find you at all in my lifetime.

Then again, I never gave up in me or in you.

I just wanted to let you know that I love you...

I will always and a day love you, for all life to come...

but my Buddhist ways will never allow me to cave in

to the negativity that always seemed to surround me whole.

I'll do what I can to keep our love strong, and on fire eternally,

but you also have to do what you can to do the same...

so I know in my heart that I was right when I said to you

that you are the one for me, always and forever more.

I will be here, waiting for you for eternity...

I love you, whoever and wherever you are.

Until we meet as soulmates at last...

The Best Has Yet to Come

To start this new journey that I created for myself...

I must start over with a new love and a new life.

The beginning to an end that I could no longer bear

to cry over with tears of pain, sorrow, and remorse...

the best of me has yet to come at all.

I am alone in where I go, alone with no proper home,

but my new story is from the bottom of my yearning heart,

yearning to learn even more about me, and possibly you too,

it was never a difficult matter of "what do I do now,"

but a simple matter: "Why me and why now."

I do realize that I will die alone one day in the future,

and there is nothing I can do to prevent my own destiny,

I might as well take the best care of me possible,

and always say to that little evil voice in my head:

the best of me has yet to come at all.

I was in love and I was burned badly to a solid crisp...

but I realize now that that was my past... I must move on,

and move on I did to repair my body as well as my soul.

Although the best of me has yet to come,

I know my soulmate out there will be waiting for me.

Hey everyone,

Hmmm... I saw "Smokin' Aces yesterday at Old Orchard and I LOVE IT! All of the movie, that is. :) Alicia Keys and Common were really good in their respective roles, heh heh. Other than that, I am pretty good overall. Well, I have to get going now. I will write again soon. Peace!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for not writing last month, I have my issues with work and school and my social life. But other than that, I am okay for the most part, ha ha ha. I have a birthday coming up in less than a week and I am sooo very thrilled about it. For the first time, like ever, I'm not paying a dime for it. And some people are coming over too... lol! No, not to my apartment, but to this one place called the Sound Bar in Chicago. Fun fun! Well, people, I hear that cue again. I will write again soon. Peace!

Sorry for not writing here more often people! :( Well, my life has been so chaotic, with school and work, I have completely forgotten that I still write here as a hobby. Do not laugh at that whatever you do. Oh well, that's life, what can you do?????????? Blue (2006)

My skies within my world were blue...
suddenly my world tore apart in two,
and I put all of the damn blame on you.
I should've blamed this on my own past,
as this love was never meant to last,
now your betrayal was the biggest blast.
I should've known this shit from the start,
but now that we're two worlds apart,
I can now stab you in your own damn heart.
No one now can save you from your hell,
which is a story I now can truly tell,
so I can freely and truly live well.
Tell me why, oh why, am I only blue?
Tell me how can't I blame it all on you?
Tell me just when did my world fell in two?
My pain and suffering will not last long,
life will lead me to sing a new song,
so that you, my former prince, is now a frog.
Scarred and bruised, I know I must live on,
and I have to prove everyone dead wrong,
however, I want to see just what's going on.
Now tell me why, oh why, am I the one that's blue?
Now tell me why did my world fell in two?
Now tell me why shouldn't I blame you?
Since you've been gone I'm so happy,
I can rejoice, and it's what you can't be,

Hello world!

Wow... This is the first entry that I did on this site in almost a year (cue in hardcore laughter), because I wanted to focus on developing my work and style of poetry that I write. Now why have I not been writing journal entries here??? Simply because my girl Niya introduced me to MySpace, of all places! In other news, there have been threats on this country and whatnot and how do I feel??? I say Bush should be impeached or something like that because he is truly an idiot. Trying to do this and that without backing any of that bullshit up, especially on Iraq. On top of that, he ignores what's up with America (my opinion on how 9/11 happened) so he is totally screwed and is my vote for America's worst president EVER. That's right, I hate the bastard with the deadliest of passions. If you don't like it, FUCK YOU! I might get a lot of hate mail for this, but I honestly don't care now, I am a Democrat and I am sticking to my beliefs. And I am about to run now. I have a date with my TV. White Sox at Wrigley Field against the Cubs. Peace!

Rainy Days in my Sunshine

As much as there is hope for this world,

I have yet to be convinced of it all,

so my life is still filled without hope.

However, I want to change all of that...

only because I want to be the real me,

and not the one all wants me to be now.

So, I go out to the real world as I know it

and I try to figure out what's wrong

with myself and everyone else around me.

Therefore, there are rainy days in my life,

as well as the sunshine in my own life...

because if I don't, then I'm nothing.

Sentimental feeling... at least of what I know,

I'd rather be cold in my own blood

and then have a warm kind of heart.

Other than that, I am only stuck here

in a land filled with idiots like you,

idiots like the whole world around me.

Violence is a big factor in my own rain,

yet peace is the factor in my bright sun,

so this is the story of the rainy days in my life.

My heart is hopeful for a better future,

yet I am so scared of what it brings to

those that wait too long for that dream.

Smoothing out my personal differences

will not only save me from hell...

but ensure a much better legacy.

The Infamous Three Ring Circus

How unlucky I am to be trapped here!

This looks like a fucked up circus!

Oh well, c'est la vie, life is unfair...

Life sounds like that one really annoying

song you hate, yet you can't escape

the power it brings to your life.

Therefore, I should shut myself up now,

save myself from the consequences later,

only to rejoice that I lived my life right.

This three ring circus is the very true story

fo what goes on inside my lonely heart,

only to see my own redemption come to light.

I should be and will be honest with myself,

because I'm fed up with lying to it

at every chance that I can get my hands on.

I'd rather live my life to my standards

so that I can die finally being free of

what idiots like you bring to my life now.

Therefore, I must go now to create me...

the me that will be remembered for all time

and will forever be immortalized by all...

At least by all as a REAL hero...

or should I say the word shero...

only because I am 100% woman to me.

I might sound political, and I am,

but this circus I'm in HAS to go now,

so that all in it is redeeming themselves.

Aquarius Entering Aries

A rebel that is becoming a natural leader,

that is the Aquarius entering the Aries.

I'd rather not be in love but be a leader,

because I can never be happy with you.

Therefore, I must rise to the challenge now,

and then turn myself into a leader next.

I can never be manipulated into or out

of something that I am certainly not.

So... although I take on more responsibility,

it is something that I am more than ready for.

Now get out of my way for your own good,

as well as the good of everyone else.

I refuse to become a natural dictator,

but a leader who listens and understands.

What do I do and where do I go from

here is what I call an understatement.

Although I am very frustrated at life,

I will give it as many chances as I can.

Even if I died the very next day...

I would be more than proud to have tried.

With my young, restless life on the line,

I will give it with everything within me.

The past is the past, can't regret it now,

therefore I will be forever free and more.

I'm tired and cranky and whatever now,

but as long as I am free I am happy...

because I was a rebel, but now a leader.

Photosmart

I'm in love with what is creation...

and it being in the form of a photo,

I can finally love being in love now,

therefore, as I think, because I am.

I was the evil judge of myself...

when hatred ruled my every being then,

but when creation came into my life,

I opened up my heart as well as my mind.

Since I allowed love to win me over,

I am a much brand new being to all...

yet there will always be hatred...

both in myself and in everyone else.

Once the final fight for good begins,

there will no longer be any turning back,

and even though I am finally free,

I will never be completely free from it.

I could never control my true self,

so I did what I could to conceal all,

but now that I am open to all of you,

I can honestly say that I am happy.

Photosmart beings are the ultimate high,

as well as being the ultimate true love,

so I want to be the only one for you,

not just you, but all of your being.

Creating new life is my main goal...

and since my journey has yet to be complete,

I will always be stuck here on earth.

A Diamond in the Rough

My beauty is never like that of another,

because I am a diamond in the rough.

I'd rather who I am to me forever

than to change myself constantly for you.

For me to choose the path to my destiny

is more of a miracle to everyone now,

because I"m never in love with souls

that will only hurt me in the very end.

And as I am a free spirit to everyone,

I'm still lucky to be alive and well...

My being back in the lives of everyone...

and that being everywhere in the world,

I would consider myself lucky not good

in this so-called game called life...

I'm on the edge of my own warning signs

and even I'm not safe from harm

that is always seemingly haunting me,

so I can't really run or hide from it all,

in fact, I could never run or hide

from the pain and suffering you've caused,

and I might be forever trapped in this

painful puzzle we all call life...

so my beauty and brains will have to

save me from an unexpected death

As inspired by the kind of love you give,

I am prone - and addicted to - your poison,

because of the magic of your very love...

I'm too weak and useless without it.

So I take time away from us to see

if I can go on after you leave me, and I find

that I will never be without you

in my heart as well as in my life...

Our future is now... and if neither of us

make a move to show our love to all,

then what I've known for so long

is only going to be doomed for all time.

Maybe there's still hope for us...

as I want to be with you always

so I can make new and better memories,

not just recollecting the old memories.

My Personal Revolution, Part 2

At first you all have known me for so long,

but my revolution says it's just a claim

because my personal revolution would be

the highest prize in my life's stakes.

What I am and what I will be is now

two completely different things to me.

The second half of my revolution is

now the better half of my whole being.

The first half of my revolution, on top

of all the pain that I went through,

was and still is my inner evil half.

My better half can't help myself

but to be happy with everything...

While the inner evil half of me

is always sad and ready to die.

I'd rather stick with the better half,

all because I want to be with the

one that will always make me smile.

I could say I'm in love but I am not,

I am only happy with myself at the moment.

Because this is my personal revolution,

I'd rather be changing for the good

instead of changing for the worse...

Therefore, I am no longer stuck here

or trapped for that matter at all...

So my resolution for my revolution

is to continue to be happy with me.

Razor's Edge

Its sharp edges finally made its way

inside my young and frail being,

now that I made the huge mistake

of not going home when I was supposed to,

and my death is what becomes of it...

so I must pay the ultimate price

for being myself and no one else...

I'd rather be that way than to pretend

to be something that I am not...

in order to save myself from what

I call a much early fate of my own,

I have to figure out who I am to me,

and to not let you get the best of me

and every part of my whole being.

Oh yeah... if I do die on this day,

at least... I will finally know why,

and I will no longer hide from death,

so don't remind me of my disease,

because I am already sick inside

as well as being sick on the outside,

and death can be my way out...

Criminal

I am known only as the criminal,

over the top and so goddamn cynical,

I'd rather be known only as minimal.

Only if I wasn't such a criminal

I would be so much more than minimal

and I hope I'm not the stereotypical

creation of what God sees as typical.

Maybe I hope for the best but not all,

the only thing htat I really want,

more than anything else that I'd want,

is something that's not stereotypical,

and what I want is peace, and now.

I'm in the now, that is for sure,

and hell is bound to come my way.

This story might sound autobiographical,

and something far from stereotypical,

but it's true and young and a free for all.

Judging this and that for minimal,

because I am only a criminal...

so over the top and so damn cynical,

and known only as just the minimal.

A Part of Me

A part of me is now with you...

while the other part of me is buried

much too deep inside my heart.

Since I've know you for the longest,

I'm slowly falling in love with you

twenty-four hours per passing day.

So I am faced with a decision

to either be a part of you at all...

or to leave you and then be alone

with whatever it is I have got left.

Now that you stole a piece of me,

I can no longer bear your presence

and if I were a much different person,

now a part of me is against you

for your crimes against humanity.

A part of me is now confused

as to what to do with you now,

while another part of who I am

is actually through with you.

I now have some thinking to do...

Do You Really Know Me?

You say you know everything about me,

but my question to you remains:

do you really know me at all, or no,

because you assumed far too much

about me before you got to know me.

Perhaps you were too late when

I was younger, you ignored me totally,

but now you're in my face all the time.

So you are much and far too late.

I am happy that you're not my lover,

if you were my lover then I'd leave you

much faster than a single heartbeat,

because I know one thing about you:

you cheat on all of your lovers...

so take this as kindly as possible:

I do not want you, now or ever,

not in my heart, and not in my life.

All that I know for sure is that in case

you don't take this so-called request

like the man that you should be,

then I don't want you to be a part of me.

I can't leave you but I can't stay...

yet no one knows it all but me and my heart,

because I just can't love you like

I used to when we were young...

in fact, I found someone else to love.

I can't love anyone else but him,

he is even better as a lover and friend,

so no one knows this secret but me.

I'd rather be alone to think about this,

which will mean of our demise

for sure in this short lifetime.

I write my heart out and I bleed,

because you're the reason why I leave

and he is the reason why I stay...

well, at least here on earth...

and no one knows it but me.

I can't open myself up quite yet

because of my past with you...

to be honest with all of you...

I'm begging you to take my hand,

as I can't bear to lose you for good...

because I lost you to jealousy once,

and I've come so close to getting you back,

I want you near me to chase down the monsters

that drives us away from each other.

I must admit my unending love for you,

all in the name of what I feel is the truth

and what I see is the beauty of it all.

I sometimes cry myself to sleep...

all because you're not by my side;

so I wonder what must I do now

to save myself from a lifetime

of loneliness that is bound to come

my way, as well as your way too.

Therefore, we are so close to what we need,

which really is each other in life;

but we almost always end up

so far away from our goals in life,

I know in my heart I am immortalized,

so coming as I am I suddenly realize

I am human...

and I always will be.

Knowing your spirit and mine alone,

we can tackle everything on earth,

and in heaven we'll never be in stone.

So...

as your lover, I am always here

and as our two skins combine like sheer

How is the start of the weekend treating you? I hope that all is going well with you as it's not the case for me. You see, I am having my dark days now due to the move back in April of this year. I can't pay off my damn debt as my bank is playing games with my money, and that's not the end of it. I have to find a way to get more minutes on my cell phone without using the "plastic" that I own, which makes it more difficult for me to maintain the cell phone. So that is how I am having my dark days as of right now.

On top of that I got told off for doing the right thing at work last night! Here's what happened, in full detail: where I work at, there are belts for me to put things on. There are eight moving belts total. Three of them, which are the major belts were turned off. I had to cut the guy that was giving me my work because I KNEW that if the work was still coming when the belts were off, that means even more time and work for people like me. I know I can't stay there past a certain time due to the fact that I have to take the bus!

Someone from management said that I have to keep on working no matter what. Now how the hell was I supposed to keep on working when almost half the building was off? You call that working safely? Answer me that one if you may! I very strongly believe that you have to get the work done right the first time so that you can save time and money. The management is starting to a) get on my last nerve, and b) getting less wise to figure out to get the job done right without paying the staff accordingly.

Hello world!

How is life treating you today so far? So far, for me anyway, is all good. Why did I say that, you might ask? All because my bathtub got fixed today, after days of it leaking and causing hell to my friend and neighbor in the apartment below me (I live on the third floor of the building in case you're wondering). I knew that after she showed me the problem there was something wrong in my bathroom, but I didn't know what it was that was causing the problem in her apartment. So it's a good thing that my troubles got fixed as well as my friend's troubles, because if it were to continue, then I'd be in serious trouble!

But other than that, I am seriously considering promotion at my job and that means that I would get more money per month, however, I'd be losing my union protection at the same time, however. Therefore, I have to take the good with the bad. Speaking of taking the good with the bad, I am in yet another debt counseling program so that would mean I am on a budget once again, but that is good because I need to stop my spending habits. However, had I not moved into my apartment at all, I would be in the same one that I was in before, but like I said earlier, you have to take the good with the bad.

On to other things in my life! My girl Rya is back at my job and she is somewhat pressuring me to get a boyfriend, but as I am: a) 23 years old, b)too single to care about a thing, and c) in no rush to get one at this time, why should I go with the flow when I can be me? Yeah, I will admit that relationships do make people happy, but I need to figure out who I am, what I want in my life, and what I need before I even try to care and do things for someone else, let alone be with someone, especially like certain guys that I know are good looking but are too attainable. Hello world!

How is everyone doing (or faring) this weekend so far? I hope that all is well with you as it is for me, as a friend of mine is getting married (I won't say who, however) and as I am happy for this person, I will be chanting and praying for a safe and happy wedding at my apartment. I just did my laundry and I am hoping that my beloved Chicago White Sox will pull themselves together and win their division this month so that they can win the World Series in MLB. I thought that the Chicago Cubs would do a surprise run, but as they suck and aren't doing as well, I am going for the White Sox.

But other than that, I am doing good, despite the fact that I got way too much sleep, so I am a bit tired. I also left my cell phone on last night but I only lost one fourth of my cell phone's energy, so I am not having any qualms about that. I got a 20-hour week from my job (including the Labor Day pay that I get), so I am happy about that too! I will most likely go into management at my job so that would mean that I have to say goodbye to my hourly position at the job. There is a guy at my job that is not only a sweet guy, but he looks good too! That is all that I will say on that topic because I have to get going now. How is this week treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. As the title says, I might have a change of heart in terms of my job, as I probably will stay at my current job, for the reason that I most likely will go for promotion to management there. Then again, you never know what is going to happen to me if I choose to go for a full-time job either in the city or in the nearby suburbs. So, to Tina and to my loyal readers, stay tuned for more info!

As for anything else that is going on in my life, I am doing alright because at least I had a decent bus ride home last night, despite the rain before I left my shift for the night. So therefore, I am doing good overall. The same people are annoying the living shit out of me so that would mean that I am about ready to beat their asses to hell! My love life is still the same: single and loving it to death!

Oh yeah, I need to tell you lot something. I was kicked out of a debt counseling program recently due to me moving and whatnot. But you know what, I am back with a new, more reputable program, so that I can get out of debt faster. So that is my latest in terms of my updates. How is life treating you today? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed, because... I think I might go into management, but not until next year due to the fact that all of the spots for management is taken right now and I may have to wait until next year when another spot is available for me to take up. So Tina, you may have to wait awhile for my decision to see if I will go into management if you ever read this. So there you have it, my decision to stay at my current job for the time being. Then again, you never know what I might do to my job situation...

On to other things in my life! I saw this movie, "Broken Flowers," the one with Bill Murray, and it was strange as hell, mainly because the plot didn't make any sense at all, not to forget that it wasn't even funny! Lucky for me, I was at the bus stop on time after I have gotten my backpack back from my old residence after the movie was over with. Now here is the messed up part: after I got to the bus stop from my old residence, I had to wait over 30 minutes for the bus to get to work, as the first bus broke down before the one I saw came along.

But other than that, I am still tired and a bit hurt, as my back was murdering me last night while I was on the clock. That's what I get for getting all of the heavy trailers last night. Next time, I should get all the light trailers as I don't think I can take it anymore. Well, I have to get going now. I have to get to other things in my life right now. How is the other half of Labor Day weekend treating you? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. Well, nowhere near as good. I'm on my time of the month, so ladies you can feel me on this one, and I freaking overslept this morning, as I got up like a couple of hours ago after going to bed at like 8:30 last night and getting up at around 2:15 this morning. I was supposed to go to a Buddhist meeting in the city to support a friend of mine, but as I said before, I just overslept. NOT A GOOD IDEA!

Anyway, I bought some new CDs as of Friday and they are GOOD, and that is when I know I should have bought some necessities with the cash too, but who cares?!? I am in a new debt counseling program and it's better than the other one that I got kicked out of, as...Well, I cannot go into great detail about that one right now. As for anymore pictures, I have yet to develop one of my disposable cameras but I do that based on groups of three disposable cameras at a damn time! Now that's what I call a better idea!

On to other things in my life as of now! I might go after the supervisor position after all at my current job but you never know what I might do assuming that I get a full time job. How is the long weekend treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. Since I last talked to you lot, I saw an old friend of mine at my current job: Tina Cumberlander. The conversation that we had was rather interesting because as I am looking for a better paying job, Tina told me that I should consider moving on up in my current job and leave the search behind. That is how I managed to get the title of this entry today...After doing my laundry and listening to some of my new tunes that I bought yesterday.

As I am the type that doesn't like to stay at one place for a very long time, I want to move on. However, as virtually no one wants to hire me as a full-time worker, I may have no other choice but to take the management position on and have an even better looking resume on me. So I have a choice to make here: either move up in the company or leave the company when the full-time job is landed upon. I have no other news to report to you, so I will get going now. How is Thursday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed. I have found a few more leads in my search for a full-time job and I faxed my resume to a few companies, but no luck as of yet since the shitty interview a couple of Tuesdays ago, but as I said before, I can't give up quite yet. Oh well, that's life there for you. Then again, life can treat me well if I play my cards right and continue to go after certain jobs in the city or the nearby suburbs. The only thing I can really do is to chant and pray to the Gohonzon about my problems finding a full-time job.

Onto other things in my life! I went shopping for food yesterday and I was using the remainder balance on two of the cards to lower the cost so that I can get a higher remaining balance on the third card. I got some interesting stuff like some salad, ice cream, Gatorade, milk, more baking soda for the fridge and freezer, ranch dressing, a whole chicken, among other things. And my love life is still the same, no boyfriend, no problem! :) Like I said earlier in this entry, I have to learn how to play my cards right so that I can find me a REAL MAN and not what I have dated in the past, hee hee hee. How is Tuesday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. I have applied to a store in Glenview today and I might not get it due to that credit act that employers do that freaking Bush passed not too long ago. So I am not happy about that, but I am hopeful that I will land me a job soon. I just hope that I don't get the job in Glenview as it requires me to do weekend work. It will be very hard for me to get to on the weekends, especially on fucking Sunday... But who can you blame for the look for a full time job...

But other than that, I am doing good. My five year anniversary with my current job is approaching rather quick and soon, and I personally hope that I don't make it that far or longer as I cannot take the people that work there anymore. I have yet to get any calls from prospective employers as I might be too late or too soon or something like that, but I refuse to be negative on my job search, AS I WILL FIND ME A FULL-TIME JOB soon! How is the weekend treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you lot as it is for me... Well, not really the case for me. I am still looking for a full time job and that is that, but I have to call someone back tomorrow so that I can set up an interview for a full-time job. I just hope, wish, and pray that I find it soon. I don't care where I work, just as long as I get to the job and back very easily and rather safely. I also pray that I get some decent pay for it too, because I refuse to settle for less than the best!

On to other things in my life! Well, there was the Buddhist meeting this morning and it was great because there was the food after the meeting and the meeting itself. I have to find a way to get my hands on that review for October's meeting. So that is how I got here today. Oh yeah, that J.D. from "Rock Star: INXS" looks so freaking HOT, and he is a Canadian too! How is Friday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed, as I have bailed out my friend Linda today. Let's hope that all goes well with her situation as time begins to fly before our eyes. But other than that, I have laundry to do tomorrow so that I can get ready for my Buddhist meeting on Sunday. I also have to get some medicine tomorrow as well so that I can continue to get well. I am also on the lookout for a full-time job, as my current job isn't doing me justice anymore. I just need me a 40+ hour work week.

As for my love life, Miss Laura Phillips is putting her nose where it doesn't belong again, although Brad and I are friends again, I personally think she's after him as a boy toy, I am irritated by that, so if you're reading this Laura, buzz off of my business! My friend is back at work since last week (or this week), which is good, as I was scared shitless about him. Work last night was alright, but it could have been better, so I am having no qualms about that. Well, I have to get going now so that I can get to work early. How is life treating you these days? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me... Well, not really. Yesterday was my interview for a job in Wilmette and it SUCKED! It wasn't all of me that sucked, it was them. In some ways they misled me in their ad, but I should've looked better (not dress code, but looking for a job wise) than that. I have to go to a store in Morton Grove tomorrow for an application and to the city on Saturday for another. I also have to call this one guy back for a third job possibility today as well, which brings me to think and know that I need a better job BAD!

Well, on to other things! My love life took a hit as I was checking my e-mail and some way older guy (Don't know his real name or anything) winked at me from the http://www.match.com website. A few words for him: I AM NOT INTERESTED, I am only 23! But other than that, I am doing good. I have to check out the http://www.chicagoreader.com website as well as the http://www.pioneerlocal.com website tomorrow for the updated position openings. I may have to say goodbye to school forever, as I need to make some money to survive out here in the 'burbs. Well, I have to get going now so that I can get to other things in my life. "Wicked" updates!

How is Sunday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed. As of this past Friday, I decided to go to to the city yesterday to see the musical "Wicked," with WilPower, and it was indeed WICKED! :) I loved it so much that I both laughed and cried during the show! That's how good it was. I also had some good company with me, as I mentioned before in this entry. After the show we all were treated to dinner at Seafood Buffet in Evanston, and the food there was alright, but it could have been better (the food, that is). I almost got literally sick! Oh well, that's life there for you.

On to other updates! Yesterday, before the musical, Brad (I'm friendly with him again, so please don't ask questions) gave me a lead for full time work: the place where he works at (I can't say where though), it's fairly easy to get to (two buses to Morton Grove shouldn't be a problem), so I'll be there on Tuesday to fill out an application and possibly an interview. But other than that, I am doing just fine, thank you very much. I went out of my way to fax some places my resume and references so I should get some interview offers pretty soon. How is Tuesday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me... Well, not really that well. I have yet to land a full time job, but I can't give up quite yet, but it looks like I will be celebrating a dreaded five-year anniversary with my current job. I have to look better for a job so that means not only do I have to look harder for a full-time job, but I have to sell myself better for that full-time job. And by the way, I do have a lot of experience with some things within the workforce, just not enough for some of what some employers are looking for.

On to other things! I have the two Gatorades in my freezer to give to friends of mine so that they can experience what I drink all the time. I can't say who is getting what at this time but all I can say is that they are getting what they were asking for. I have found some more leads in terms of what to look for in a full time job, but I have to stop procrastinating and start calling them to try to get the job! Here is the thing: I have to leave my current job so that I can get on the road to financial freedom. Then again, some jobs are more worth it than others, so there!

Anyway, I am happy being single. Some of the guys at my current job are like that I should find someone to be happy with, but I find that dead wrong, because I find that when I am with someone, I am dead miserable, and that is not good in anyone's book! My friend is doing alright, but he needs his recovery time and that is extremely important. I can't go into further detail than that, but I can say that I no longer have any romantic interest in him. I only see him as a friend of mine and that is that! Well, I have to get going now so that I can get ready for possible job interviews (Well, that is getting my stuff out there to the right people). How is Sunday treating you so far? I am having a blast, considering I have gone on a proper shopping spree over the past three days, almost all of it on needed clothes. I have to get some more but I have to make sure that my money is put to good use and whatnot. I have applied to three jobs in less than a week and so far, I am getting some responses in a couple of weeks, due to the fact that I have the skills to pay the bills and whatnot. I have to make some calls this week so that I can get closer to the full-time job that I want in my life right now.

On to other news! More and more people I know are getting married soon, and that is good on them; better for me, because I am single, loving every minute of it, and I do NOT want or need a boyfriend at this time. I will get me some when I least expect it. But other than that, I am doing good at this time, because when I get the full time job, I will let other people at my current job know what is going on and that will mean that I have to say goodbye to what I had, but that is okay. How is the start of the weekend treating you so far? I hope that all is going well for you as it is for me indeed. I have gotten me some clothes for interviews in the near future at Lane Bryant, which is good, plus some music for me to listen to on the road. On top of that, I took out some money from my bank account to get some things for myself, including a new bus pass and possibly some medication. I have to give a prospective full time job a call today and visit another in the city tomorrow, both of which if possible.

People don't want me to leave my current job as I have a good future there, but I can't do physical labor for the rest of my life. It's starting to really hurt my back and I'm getting a lot of bruises all over my body. That I just cannot take anymore. Plus there are people there that pick on me, so therefore, I have to leave the job and take whatever is out there, hopefully in the city, but I'll take the suburbs too if it's close enough. But whatever the case, I am out of UPS for good as soon as I find that full time job.

Anyhoo, I am worried shitless, as a friend of mine at work... Well, I can't say exactly what happened last night, because I am too scared to type it out. All that I CAN say is that I hope that he recovers and does well when he returns. I will be praying for him and chant for his recovery. Hello world!

How is Thursday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. I am still in the search of a full-time job to knock out the part-time job that I currently have, and I have two more leads to full-time work. I have to send out my resume out to prospective companies and get a decent paying entry level job with benefits (not much to ask for, eh?), so the search is indeed on! I will be going to the vet hospital in the city on Saturday so that I can fill out an application for the receptionist job that they have opened up there. I can get there easily but hey, they may have that spot taken by the time I get there.

But other than that, I am doing good. I saw the doc today and told him just about everything that was up with me as of late, and I see him again next month, so that is all good. I am still a bit sick physically, but hey, you have to take the good with the bad. I am still searching for a contract phone, and Cingular Wireless is the front runner for my search, but I am far from done with that search, as well as the search with the full time job hunt. My love life is still the same bullshit, only this time it's getting to the point where I am not interested in meeting guys anymore, I am thrown into the mess of looking for this and looking for that.

How is Wednesday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. First and foremost, I talked to Gregg regarding my job situation. He said that I am going through a phase in my career, but I am dead serious in terms of knowing what I want in my life. UPS is no longer my type of work that I want to retire from when I get older. I'd rather be in school going for a teaching gig than work at UPS. Oh well, that's life there for you, the search is on for a full-time job!

Now onto other news. I was shopping for food today at Sam's Club instead of Dominick's today, because of circumstances beyond my control. But I did get me some good food! I can't say exactly what I got but hey, it's all good to me! I have to get some more stuff at Dominick's either next week on Wednesday or this upcoming Friday. Damn, this weather is HOT, and that is NOT good on any terms! As I said earlier in this entry, oh well, that's life there for you. I have to get going now so that I can get to work on time. Hello world!

How is the weekend treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me, although I am SICK (literally)! I am down with probably the cold and that sucks ass straight to hell, and it might be from the changing weather. I just wish it would stay consistent, damn it! Since I last wrote, I was picked on at work by two people that should get their asses beat up by me, of all the people in the world! After work, I couldn't take it anymore and I just broke down. I have to quit my job soon or else it might not be pretty anymore.

I told some co-workers what was going on and they just gave me some cold hard advice: kill hate with kindness. I know for a fact that sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Vicky and Mike, two of the people that I am pretty close with, had private conversations with me both Thursday and yesterday. The talks proved to me that I got people at that job that has my back. :) Enough on that, on to the good parts of my happenings. Yesterday, I went to my day program and told some people what happened and they were appalled by what I told them.

After that, we all went to Navy Pier and took a boat cruise to find out more of the history of Chicago, and after, as well as before the boat tour, M.J. and I went shopping for stuff. The first place that we hit was the Build-A-Bear Workshop. Carl, someone that we both know, tagged along with us. M.J. and I both got ourselves a stuffed Koala. M.J. named her Koala Aussie, while I named mine Andrea, after a friend of mine from high school. The other stops included the return trip to both the Irish shop and the Oriental shop to see what they have.

In the Irish shop, they had this plaque that I was interested in buying, but it turns out that the origin of my last name is unknown. It might be Irish, it might be Scottish, it might be Canadian, who knows? At this one interesting shop, they have these T-shirts that may look black and white at first sight, but expose them to the sun and it goes to an all-color showing. Bought me one of them! I also bought me a Chicago White Sox baseball hat and a glow-in-the-dark dragon statue. M.J. got herself a horse that was three different colors and that was so cool.

How is Thursday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed, as I have news to share with you. As of last week... I lost a bet with someone I see at the program (due to the fact that I forgot about the article that I was in), which was pretty damn dumb of him to do; as, after all, a bit obsessed with pretty women (I'd wish he find a girl his own age), just like a certain ex-housemate of mine. They need to start finding women their own age, which is my honest opinion on it. That's all that I will say on that topic...

As for anything else, I am happy, I am getting more money from a source that I refuse to say out of respect for the source. On top of that, a female friend of mine (who, just like the last topic, I won't reveal the identity) is getting married and that is all that I will say on the topic. I am still looking for a good martial arts school, but I am taking time off from the search until the weather cools down because I can't take the heat anymore. How is Monday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. I had to get to bed early last night because of the fact that I had to be at my day program today before 9:15 in the morning. I was on time to my day program, as always, so that is good for me. I also met up with some friends at the day program, mainly M.J., Shabnam, and Amy. Those three get my shout outs for today for the obvious reason and there you have it.

Friday and Saturday I went shopping to get some necessities and whatnot. Also, on Saturday, I delivered my request for one of those "American Storm" calendars as well as a subscription to Poets and Writers magazine. Next weekend will be the other two things that I have to send money by check for. And after that I have to start saving money to go to Las Vegas to see the show I was watching "Strip Search" for! :)

As for anything now, I have to get ready to go to work so that I can get my money. Well, I got paid on Friday but you lot know what I mean. As for those T-shirts that I got on Friday, one said Ireland on it (the one I am wearing today as I write this), as the other one said Italy on it, hee hee hee! Hello world!

How is Sunday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. This is the last entry for the month so that means that I will be doing entries like crazy for the month of August, also known as next month. :) No pictures or poetry today, but you lot will get some much needed updates! First, the Buddhist meeting today. It was all good although it ran longer than anticipated; and the snacks that was provided were good, even though I had me something to eat before I left the apartment today.

But other than that, I am still getting calls from telemarketers and that is a major pain in the ass. I am also getting calls from a certain ex-boyfriend of mine. NOT A GOOD IDEA THERE, MATE! Whatever the case, I only take calls from people that I can rely on, such as Lenore and my case manager Gregg. Hello world!

How is the weekend treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. I have done some shopping yesterday as I got paid like big time and today I have to get a few more things for the place, mainly contact lens solution and something to sweep the floor with, damn it! I have two things to mail out this weekend and two more things to mail out next weekend, so I should have all of my stuff sent out before the end of August. I have rent due next week, so that shit will certainly suck. I got my pictures back from http://www.eharmony.com, so that is all good.

I also went to http://www.princessmelissa.com today and the creator of the site, Melissa from "The Real World: New Orleans," never ceases to amaze me with her site and shop. So Melissa, if you're reading this entry by some chance, you kick ass! :) But other than that, no word from the ex-boyfriend and the dentist office that I went to to get work done on my teeth are harassing me to pay up. But as I live on my own, it's very hard to pay up the bill when you got other things to get to. I can't wait for my next (and last one for the year) vacation, plus I am expecting my raise next week! :) If the raise doesn't come in next week, then the following week it will come for sure.

Hello world!

How is Friday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. Today, I got me some MONEY and it is FRIDAY! :) So what did I do today, you ask? I finished the Weapon Master Mode for the first time in SoulCalibur II, only to have to finish it again the second time. I got Berserker as a selectable character, so that's all good. Plus I got more weapons for most of the characters and a costume for Nightmare, and on top of that, I have a new controller, a second memory card, AND a couple of T-shirts from Old Navy... all of that happening after I got some necessities from Jewel Osco.

But other than that, I am doing good. I have to leave the cell phone at home so that certain people won't play the games on it so much if you know what I mean. On top of THAT, I am starting to search for a contract phone for myself so that means that once next year comes around, I will have me a better phone. So far, Cingular and T-Mobile are my front runners in that search. I am expecting something or two in the mail shortly, but I can't say what it is just yet because I don't want the wrong people to find out what it is. Hello world!

How is life treating you these days? I hope that all is going well with you lot as it is for me indeed. Well, not really. Yesterday morning, I was peacefully doing my laundry when Rob, all of a sudden, tells me that he was a winner of $1.4 Million. Yeah fucking right! And just when he was telling me exactly what he was going to do with it, I told him to be realistic. Just as I was going to continue my train of thought, Rob was pretty much telling me to forget what he said and that I was a god damn pessimist and that he should've gotten the last Scattered Sites place instead of me. How fucking RUDE!

Anyhoo, I told the right staff member (Gregg) and the relationship between Rob and myself is a lot different now than what it was, thank goodness for that! Same thing between Brad and I, hee hee hee! But other than that, Monday is my pay raise at work and I am getting a dollar more per hour than what I make now, hee hee hee! But what also goes up is my union dues. But who cares about union dues when you have a secure job? Anyway, I am tired and I can become a bitch today if it came down to it. Hello world!

How is Monday treating you so far? Well, for me, it's not a good one for starters, because of this damn heat here in the Chicago area of the damn state of Illinois! It was bad enough on this past Saturday that I had to skip the cookout that my job was hosting at the Harms Woods in Skokie (what else did you expect, it was 97 degrees). And to make matters worse, yesterday was WORSE, it was 107 DEGREES outside. There was a cookout at my old residence that day, so I went to that one despite waiting almost an hour for the 97 CTA Bus! Do you think I like that at all? Hell NO! Today was about 99 degrees, so talk about hot ass weather over the past few days!

But other than that, I am doing okay. I have to go to work tonight and face the music. My co-workers are probably going to ask me why I didn't go to the cookout. I will just let them have it with the weather as the culprit for me not going. There is NO WAY that I am going to a cookout in near 100 degree weather. NO WAY! And oh yeah, Brad and I are not talking as of now. The last part of the note that he gave me (which was later destroyed) asked me to give the so-called friendship that we had another chance. Hmmm... Let's consider the evidence... He took advantage of me when it comes down to the presents that I have bought him in the past, he has feelings for other girls, AND he was (supposedly) at Laura Phillips' apartment while being involved with me!

Do you think I'd take that lightly? NO! I feel like I am being used here, if that's what you're asking me to do here! I'm going to go now so that I can get to other things in my life and I have to get to work on time. I will try to report again tomorrow with other updates and whatnot in my life. Laterz and peace!

How is Saturday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed. First of all, friggin' http://www.eharmony.com reopened my account when the pictures were sent to them (dumb me, as always) and posted them into my account. I was really gung ho on http://www.match.com, but you know me better than that! Well, onto the weekend updates, as usual. I might go to the barbecue today that my damn job is doing at the Harms Woods, but as it'll be fucking 97 degrees outside as the high, I don't even know if I'll go to it!

I am definitely going to the Scattered Sites cookout tomorrow, even though it'll be like 100 degrees outside that day. That I have to go to because it's part of my goals and whatnot. Now onto what happened yesterday. I was at Church Street due to a important errand that I had to do, and Gregg was there. I saw my former roommates, even my ex, and my boy Ray has his teeth! :) My ex gave me a note that he had written himself, but with his handwriting on top of the fact that I was still pissed at him for the Laura incident, I declined to read it.

So what did I do? I was waiting for the 422 Pace bus to get to work, and once I got on the bus, I saw my boy Mike Timko. I asked him if he could destroy the note after he read it. He agreed to it after I gave him a small amount of money to do so. Well, that was a big success to go through, hee hee hee! I just can't tell the ex what I did with the note so that means that I have to become and go incognito with the damn thing. Oh well, that's life there for you. Thank God It's Friday! So how is everyone's day treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. And yes, it's about time for me to give you lot updates for this week. First of all, this past Tuesday, I got stung in the FACE, near the left eye, by a bee. Lucky for me, I don't have an allergy that I know about so I am one lucky gal. No swelling and whatnot, so I am even more lucky than ever before. This week in general has been tiring because although I am getting more hours I am more frustrated than ever due to a shitty supervisor that I have, a fear that my hours are being taken away, and the feeling that I want to quit my job to get another one.

Wednesday... I was doing my stuff to get ready for the week, registered for next quarter at my day program, and went grocery shopping. After I checked out, I realized that Marc, a friend of mine, had taken my gallon of skim milk (a part of my stuff was checked out along with his and that is how I know)! Yesterday was boring as shit so I can't report anything there. Now last night is something that I am a little angry about. My ex Brad Schantz called me at 11 at night, just as I got home from work. BAD MOVE THERE, ACE! NO ONE CALLS ME AFTER 10:30 p.m.! I told him about my plans, so it was a really bad move he did.

Today... how can I put it... was rather interesting. Before Brad called, my case manager Gregg called me and said that I needed to be back at the old residence to get a piece of paper and sign something. I called him this morning to set time to do so. After that, I was chatting with my boy Ray and Rob... OMG... was annoying as shit. Don't like that cat. Brad gave me a note, before I left to get to this site, which I'll most likely burn after I read it later on today. Well, I have to get going now so that I can get to other things in my life as I know it. I will report sometime this weekend. Laterz and peace!

The Rise and Fall of a Rogers Park Freak Show

Let me introduce myself to you:
I am known only as the one-woman
Rogers Park Freak Show;
I hail from Rogers Park of Chicago,
land of the bonafide freaks...
well...
not freaks,
but chaos-instilled,
bootylicious seeking thrillseekers.
I cannot tell you my real name,
because if I do tell you what it is,
I am prone...

for what is known as destruction.
Therefore, my rise to fame was hard,
while my fall from fame was quick.
I was only seven
and my parents had to split,
because of me I don't have a clue

My calling as a freak show came,

How is Friday treating you? I hope that all is going well with you although it isn't quite the same with me. First of all, I do wonder why when you try with the online dating stuff, you can't promote your webpage on there without the matching site closing your account, especially if the webpage is clean. It really sucks to hell. Oh well, their loss! I really didn't like them anyway. I can't get any money out of my account (I overwithdrew a week ago, but I knew I had that one coming) for a couple of weeks. But who cares when you have enough food and whatnot for a week, you know what I mean?

But other than that, I hope that my webpage here can help me find love in all the right places because dating sites can be a pain in the ass! Hello world!

How is Thursday treating you so far? I hope all is going good for you as it is for me! Well, I am still on my investigation for a good martial arts school for the best price, which is getting harder and harder at the very moment. I just signed up at http://www.eharmony.com to give online dating another go. I might as well try it out since I see those commercials all the damn time and trying to convince every last single person on earth!

Other than that, I am doing good, mainly keeping myself busy and staying away from Brad Schantz. There is a saying that while the cat's away, the mouse will play. I think that's what happened with the relationship that Brad and I had while we were together. I was away from him by planning my weekends a lot and for most of the time, and Brad might have been getting it on with Laura Phillips. Not sexually speaking, but those two getting together in general. So therefore, I have to avoid those two people for a short time until I can get myself together.

In other news, I hardly got out of work in time to catch the bus last night so that means that I have to make sure that I am out of the hub (I work at UPS five nights a week) at ten at night every night so that I can catch the damn bus! I have been working unusually longer hours this time of the year. Not a good sign for me to watch out for! But at least I am making a lot of money for the most part. How is Tuesday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. Still no poetry from me, eh? It is coming soon, because today I decided to just to bring myself to this computer as I am freaking tired from work last night! Speaking of last night, I decided to bring some Kiwi Gummies and Fortune Cookies from the Toguri Co. Shop on Belmont Street in Chicago for the guys in the sort aisle. I still have that frame in my room, so that is all good. Man, did they go through the bags like animals! My boy Andre Blackwell said that the gummies were addictive. And you know what? He's right.

As for anything else, yes I am still tired as I type this entry out but I will get through this like you lot wouldn't believe. I am single still, yes, but I am looking for love, just not on the Internet or on any dating service like I used to when I was 18-20. I am 23 and I want to look for love in all of the right places and not in the wrong places, and Abraham Bradley Schantz, if you're reading this online journal, I only want to be friends with you due to Miss Laura Phillips and what you did with her, and therefore, that's all I want to say to you single men, from 24-28, out there.

How is Monday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me indeed, as for one, I had a good night's sleep last night. As for any updates, I don't have much but hey, it's better than nothing at all. First of all, I have to check out some of these sites that I found in the Poets and Writers magazine that I found so that I can enter them and make myself heard on the writing scene once more instead of what I normally enter as of late. It should be rather interesting to see what will go down in terms of what they want in their works.

But other than that, I am doing good, no real qualms or anything like that for me. I have a Barbecue that I want to go to on the 23rd of this month but I am not sure if I'll be able to go to it at all due to where I live, how I am getting there and back, not to forget how long I'll be staying if I do go to the barbecue. And another thing about that: it's for my job. So Joe Ramirez, the good guy that he is, put me down as a maybe for the damn thing. I might go; but then again I just might NOT go, it's my final decision to make here by next week, but there is a good chance that I'll go to it. Hello world!

I am hoping that this weekend will be treating you good as it did for me so far. Yesterday is a grand example of what I am talking about. Now where do I start is probably what you're asking me (or me asking myself that)! First, I got up early enough so that I can go to the Wushu school in Evanston. I was a little late but that was okay as the class started after I came in. I first met Amber, the nice lady that was responding to my e-mails that works at the school. Then, I was introduced to Master Anthony Marquez, who runs the school. They allowed me to sit in on the class that day and I was blown away. I also met a couple of the students, Mike and Rachel. Those two are absolute sweethearts. I will probably go to that school due to my time table, but we will see.

I got more information in regards of the Tai Chi school near the building I live in and the only class they have available for me is the Saturday afternoon Ba Kua class. Now I need more time to train in the class than that. I should know, I was in Tae Kwon Do for a month, and I was there almost everyday of my time there. I didn't lose or gain anything there, so I am looking for something better than what I've been previously trained in. But oh well, that's life there for you. My investigation for a good martial arts school is nowhere near complete because of it, but it'll be over before you know it. Therefore, I am doing what my caseworker Gregg is telling me because I don't want to get into something really expensive.

Now before I got to the Wushu school, I was in the city for a short time, at the Toguri Store on Belmont near Clark. I bought myself a frame that has the Asian symbol meaning Dog, as in the Year of the Dog, according to Asian Astrology (I was born in 1982, even though I am technically a Rooster due to my birthday) and stuff about the dog. I also bought Kiwi Gummies (thanks Jennifer for introducing me to them seven years ago) and Fortune Cookies (a six ounce bag) and paid in cash. After the visit to the Wushu school, I went to Barnes and Noble and then Borders to see what they have. Borders had some poetry stuff that I bought like right away. That was my day yesterday.

Didn't do much today so...Therefore I have to get going now so that I can get home and whatnot. I will report again tomorrow. Laterz and peace!

Hello world!

How is Thursday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. I got some e-mail from my girl Niya and that is all good. I know, I know: "Where's your damn poetry?" Well, the answer to that is this: I always keep forgetting my poem book, which has my work, not to forget that I have a poem book that is in the works of being completed, in other words, the latter book is being worked on. That's how come I have yet to post my poetry on the web. But it will come soon, I will guarantee you lot with that much information!

I am going to the Wushu school on Saturday at noon to check it out AND to see where I am going to go to train to get in shape. I have to make some other calls to other schools to see where they are plus how much will it cost to train someone like me. But other than that, I am doing swell. I was watching "Kept" on VH1 and take a wild guess who got eliminated???? The only hint I am giving out is that two got eliminated in one hour. I can't tell you which two got eliminated, but it was a lot of fun to watch.

The only thing that I have to look out for is the latest episode of "Strip Search" on VH1 sometime tonight or later on today if I can catch it before work! And as I have said in the past, is it HOT in here or is it just me, because those men are FINE! I only hope and pray that the right men are picked for those spots, because if certain guys are still there that I cannot stand (they know who they are), I will be pissed off! Hello world!

How was the Fourth of July weekend? I hope that it went down smoothly for you as it was for me. First and foremost, the house warming party. It was a success (considering the size of my apartment), as Amy, Genevieve, Hiroko, and my girl Niya all showed up for the party. We all watched movies, ate some food, and had a great time. Genevieve and Amy gave me something for the apartment as well, so that is all good for me right there. Genevieve gave me a couple of postcards and a keychain plus Amy gave me a plant, so I have to send them a thank you e-mail as soon as I am done with this post. I might make the house warming party an annual event, so that people can meet others from my walks of life.

As for other news, things are going pretty good for me for the most part. I am really tired but hey, it's all worth it. I was at the Taste of Chicago this weekend as well as Chinatown, both in Chicago, and I had me a lot of fun, as I was letting go the whole time. I was this close to buying an issue of Playgirl magazine but I didn't, and I will NOT buy the new Missy Elliot album until next month so that I can catch up with my finances. I just hope and pray that I have enough money for all that I want to do in the future. I might go to Williamsburg in November of this year, but if not, I can wait until next year. How is Thursday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well for you as it is for me. The "Strip Search" website is all cleaned up and I'm loving it! Can't help but to look at all of those HOT guys, especially when you go to the website too damn much... Well, I have to give a shout out to my girl Niya for being herself. I have one more day to go before my fun filled Fourth of July weekend, where after tomorrow night, I will have a three day weekend. WOO-HOO!

As for other news, I have to take out a lot of money for my weekend festivities, hee hee hee! Get a couple of CDs, go to the Taste of Chicago, and finally go to the Chinatown area of Chicago. I will shop until I drop myself dead! And hopefully I'll be asking Niya to join me on my adventures this weekend. I am one step closer to finding out as to which martial arts school I'll be going to so that I can get in top shape and shed the unwanted pounds. Interesting, eh?

One of the CDs that I will be getting is the new Missy Elliot album which features the the track "Lose Control" featuring Ciara and Fat Man Scoop. The other one will be entirely up to me, yay for me! :) I have to get the "necessities" for the party, such as the paper plates and bowls, plastic utensils, and napkins for the party! Not bad, eh? Hello world!

How is today treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. I have some good news and I have some bad news to share to all of you today... This brand of news actually blends together... I have to break the news to my ex-roommate Ray that I found another buyer for the smaller TV/VCR combo/DVD Player/RF Modulator set for $50, which just so happens to be my co-worker Andre. Thank goodness that I found someone that will buy it from me for a good price AND that has reliable transportation to get to my place like right away.

Now, on to other news. When I arrived to work last night I found that my lock was gone, but I'm not sweating a thing because I have a back up lock from Mr. David Gilbert. And to make matters better, none of my stuff was gone. :) I am going to be good on my word to both Laura Talamantes (she is a sweetheart) and to Mike Timko (I owe him a Gatorade for holding my things) as I have what they are looking for. But other than that, I am tired as hell, just don't ask me how I got to be that way today. I have some info to give to Gregg tomorrow and to get the stuff for the party the same day as well.

Hello world!

How is Monday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well for you as it is for me! I was just getting done with looking at the website for the show "Strip Search" and I need me a fan (the one you use to cool yourself down), as those guys are H-O-T! I can't really put it down in words how I feel. I want to go to where they're going to perform and see a part of history. And although he has a son with an ex-wife, Brian from that show looks soooooooooooo good, it's as if I want him for myself! :) But you have to respect him for what he believes, however...

ON TO OTHER UPDATES! My Buddhist meeting yesterday was all good, as I was the emcee of the meeting (I used my humor there), plus my house warming party is this Saturday so I have my responses saying that they'll come to the party, so that is all good. Now with the information about the Wushu classes in Evanston at hand in terms of prices and all that, I have to now give the info to Gregg and see what will be next up in the agenda of that kind. But if it doesn't work out to my favor, oh well, at least I tried.

As for anything else, I was featured in the latest issue of the Pioneer Press papers for the second time in terms of being photographed but the third time overall. Why, do you ask? Well, I was working at UPS, that's all. Nothing new for me there, because the first time was in the January 15, 1998 issue of the Evanston Review when I was a sophomore at ETHS (I have to go to the Evanston Library to get the proof of that), hee hee hee! How is Sunday treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it is for me. As I am newly single, I am done with dating for the time being, therefore if Brad ever asks me to give him one more try I'll be letting him have it by him kissing my Irish ass and get the fuck lost for what he did to me and to Laura Phillips! And now to other news for the day. The Taste of Chicago is going on right now and I am a little angry... why, do you ask? One of my idols of all time, Donna Summer is going to be at the Taste of Chicago this upcoming Tuesday and I will be at work! How much does that shit suck?!? How is Wednesday treating you far? I hope that all is going well as it is for me. I am now SINGLE AGAIN, as I pretty much dumped Brad for his involvement with Miss Laura Phillips, so to all the hot single guys, hit me with some good pick up lines... I have heard a lot of them before but I am looking for something better... But other than that, My girl Niya should be coming to my housewarming party on July 2. I have so much to talk about with her as I haven't seen her since I left the homeless shelter in the West Side of the city. I'll try to call Jennifer Sutton again this weekend to talk and to catch up with her again, as I have me more of that during the day freetime but not enough of the evening/night freetime. As for other highlights since I last wrote, I am still making payments to my Profina program on time and it looks like that I will be out of debt in early 2007. How is the Father's Day treating you so far? I hope that all is going well with you as it's not really the case for me. I for one sent my dad a really nice Father's Day card and a T-shirt in the mail and he even thanked me by e-mail today! That's the good part of my day today. The bad part (for my soon to be ex, not me, as I move on quickly) is that I will be breaking up with Brad (formerly known as Abe), for good this time, partly because he takes advantage of girls like me, as Jennifer warned me last year (thank you very much Jennifer)...

BUT... however, the main reason is because I found out that he spent the night at Laura Phillips' new apartment (although she said nothing happened, I don't believe her) one night a couple of weeks ago and he didn't let anyone know about it (especially me) as he was thought to be gone camping. So I have my evidence on the ready so that I can confront him about it. He can deny it all that he fucking wants but if it's out of Laura's mouth than he's clearly cheating on me... duh! So Brad, don't play fucking stupid... I clearly got your ass...

Here comes the worst part: my case manager and his case manager (who used to be the same as mine before I moved) both say that they're happy that he's doing so much (thank you Chris) when in reality he might be driving himself back into the hospital. He did that at least twice late last year, two of those times were about a month into each other, That's where everyone else is worried shitless about him and what he's doing to himself and to everyone else around him. When he finally realizes about this shit, he shouldn't be surprised when he finds that I'm not around anymore. I refuse to allow a guy like that take advantage of me.

Now back to the good stuff. I have my nine-ten people coming to my crib for my housewarming party... Beth, Niya (if she can make it), Loris, Velma, Linda, Amy B., Hiroko, Genevieve, David G. (if he has the invitation), and Jennifer (if she'll be in town). Those are the people that I trust completely and that is that. To anyone that wants to send me something, let me know. Since I last wrote to you, there's been a lot going on. Yeah, Brad and I are dating in some ways, but we're not in other ways. The guy thinks he has a lot of respect for me, but when you use someone else's bathroom WITHOUT permission (My apartment has the 1.5 bathrooms, and he should have known better and just asked me to use my bathroom, however, I would have said no anyway; after all, he IS almost 25...) you have: 1) more likelihood to steal what is there, 2) use what the other person has used already (like the antibacterial soap that I use), and 3) more likelihood to trash what is there. Now is that a royal pain in the fucking ass or what? He's a good guy, that I know, and he looks like "The One," but he needs some growing up to do and, on top of that, I need a good long talk with him on mannerisms and whatnot. But other than that, I am doing good, because I finally got my grades and I need to make some payments to Oakton and whatnot. I have to get going now so that I can get on with my day and whatnot. How is thee right now? I hope all is going well for you as it is for me. As of a short while ago, I shipped out a package to my dad, which is a t-shirt and a Father's Day card. Not much, but it's a start for me there. I am still in a tight hole when it comes to my money, I just have to find my stuff for school as I flunked my Biology class while I got my A in Humanities class. Everything balanced out for me, and I am still in good academic standing at Oakton. But other than that, I am back together with Abe (now known as Brad), and it is going good right now, so take that Jason! :) I gave an experience at my Buddhist meeting on this past Sunday to prove my practice really works and it got a really good reception too! Amy said that she'll call me and bring Genevieve over to chant with me, but as I am gone on Saturday mornings to do laundry, we'll see what happens there. As for me, I had me some serious ups and downs on the trip I took earlier this week; Brad and I might "hook up" again, and this time around it might be for real, but you never know. The trip was fun in its mystical ways, but it was a fucking bore otherwise. I injured myself on this year's trip to the Dells by, and get this, doing a roller coaster kind of stunt while hiking with Brad and DC! I am okay, it's nothing serious, I should be able to work next Tuesday when I go back to work for my damned job. Yet my vacation so far has been nothing but a sleeping beauty of a relaxing time! So therefore, my time off from work is going good so far. And one other thing, my recovery from oral surgery is going just fine. I have to get going now so that I can get to other things. How is the weekend treating you so far? I hope that all is going well for you although it's not the same for me. Well, as of yesterday, I had my ALL FOUR of my wisdom teeth removed, so I am expected to be in a lot of pain. I am not in that much pain but I am bleeding a lot, so there you have it. I do plan on going to work to give my boss the paperwork that proves that I need time off from work to recover from the surgery. The last rule for my recovery is that I have to limit my physical activity (and my job is very physical) for 48 hours. So there you have it! But other than that, I should be on vacation at the end of tonight, so my visit to the job should prove interestingly enough for most people. Well, I will keep this one on the short end. How is Tuesday treating you so far? It's been weird for me as I have to start saving money to pay for tuition that my job is supposed to pay off (but can't as one, I failed one of my classes and that just might drop my GPA to Academic Warning status, and two, I probably no longer have the paperwork to give to my job to pay for the tuition), boo hoo! But other than that, I am having one hell of a week. I am going to Medieval Times in mid-June and back to Wisconsin Dells on Monday (through next Wednesday, so I won't be able to write to you during that time off but I am on vacation next week), so I have a lot of time off in the coming weeks. I am also looking forward to the Taste of Chicago at the end of June/beginning of July, but I hope that there are some good acts this year as I wasn't feeling last year's scheduled performers at all, so go figure! Oh yeah, I got some stuff for the apartment, such as a 32" Color TV, a vacuum cleaner, a toaster, a blender, a microwave, stuff like the furniture for the apartment (other than the dining table, which will come June 1) and other necessities. My love life is still the same, but who cares?!? A few more things: I am getting my wisdom teeth removed on Thursday, plus I won't be able to go to the bar for about a month. How is life treating you these days? I hope that all is going well for you, although... well, you get the point. I am DONE with the two page paper and the slide show for the presentation. Yes, I managed to figure out how to put things together for the damn slide show. On my own, that is. But I have yet to really start the work on the five page paper. I mean, I have the the files saved on disk for the two, but as I said, I have yet to really start the work on the paper. I don't have to worry much though, as I am well on my way to start and get done with the paper by Wednesday night. How is Sunday treating you so far? Well, I have some good news and some great news. First, the great news. I have the furniture coming into the apartment on Wednesday, which is all good, so that means that I can have some people over... YAY! :) The other good news is that I did indeed contribute to the annual campaign at the Chicago Culture Center today, and that always makes me feel good about contributing to the cause of kosen-rufu. How is Thursday treating you these days? I hope that all is going well for you as it is for me... well, not really. Yesterday, I was at the dentist to get some fillings and a deep cleaning for the right side. Easy, you think?!? Far from easy to tell you the truth, it was difficult as hell to eat for awhile and shit like that. I was also puffy on the right side of my mouth, so talking was difficult as hell as well, so talk about embarassing shit! But I went to work anyway as I needed the money badly. I will be the same way a week from now too, but only on my left side. I ate before the appointment, so it wasn't that bad. But other than that, I have a quiz for Humanities today, in an hour from now, and yet another test for Biology on Tuesday. How is Sunday treating you so far? Well, for me, it's been nothing but a blast, because, as of yesterday, I HAVE MOVED OUT of my group home. I live alone in my own apartment, and it's a one bedroom apartment in downtown Skokie. My dad (bless you!) helped me out with the moving and even treated me to lunch on yesterday. This was so much fun if you ask me about it. The area I live in now is great, I am in love with the area, as I have access to just about everything. The library, Walgreens, everything that you can think about, I just about have in near access. But other than that, I have an experience to give at my general district meeting next month (this is SGI-USA stuff), so that should be a lot of fun. And speaking of meetings, I have three to go to in the month of May. And all with Lenore as my ride! :) Well, I have to get going now so that I can do my assignment for Humanities. How is Thursday treating you? I hope all is going well for you as it is for me. First and foremost, I am moving on Saturday afternoon at around 2-2:30 p.m. My dad is helping me out with the move, so that is SUPER COOL if you ask me! :) I cannot give out my address or my new home phone number as everyone who reads this will be after me in some way. I am also going to my Buddhist meeting on Sunday and I have given Lenore directions to get to my new crib, so there you have it. But other than that, I was crying my ass off today in my Humanities class as there was a film to watch in class called "Returner," especially the ending of the film. The movie was soooooooooooo cool, and I asked my professor Ingrid where I could get me a copy of the film. I'll probably find it in the Foreign Language section of the video store, as she said so. So I'll wait and see what I can find in terms of THAT film. I have to give a short speech tomorrow to the second floor as I'm leaving the house for good on Saturday. How are you lot today so far? As the subject says, I have me some good news to share. As of yesterday, I am a part of Scattered Sites, becuase Mr. Gregg asked me if I was ready to move and I said yes, and then Gregg and I made some calls to check out the apartments and their areas. One was on Lee Street, north of Main Street in Skokie, and the other two were south of Main Street, as the second one was Searle Parkway, a block and a half north of Oakton Street (where my girl Julia lives), and the final one was on Keeney Street near Kilpatrick Avenue, a block north of Oakton Street. This wasn't the order that I saw the apartments, however. I picked the one on Searle Pkwy. because one, it had a dishwasher, two, as I said before, Julia lives in that building, and three, every room was in line (that includes the 1.5 bathrooms), and that I need to have so I can be more organized in my life. he only thing I will have to get used to is the amount of space I will have once I move into the apartment. And here is the keeper: the apartment that I picked is normally $815/month, but as I am a part of Scattered Sites, I only pay one third of my gross income. YAY FOR ME! So expect me to move in within a month to the new apartment. As for anything else, both the Cubs and the Bulls lost yesterday. BOO HOO! Well, that's all for me at the moment. As the title says, I have me some good news. First, I might be moving within the month as Gregg, Erin's supervisor, asked me if I was ready to move into my first apartment yesterday during our chat. I am ready to move out of the house to tell you the truth. So I have to give him my final decision about that very soon. Everyone at my job is proud of me to take that step. So stay tuned for the updates on that! And as for the cookout yesterday, the food was good as I like my burgers and dogs burned, but not to where I can't eat the damn thing. I might have a shot at passing Biology after all with a stellar performance in lab on Tuesday. WELL, Miss Erin is on vacation until Sunday, so that should be fun... but I think I needed some MONEY today (but realized there was some thing for me to eat for both lunch and dinner), so there you go! SPEAKING of Miss ERIN, she was asking me about the Dells trip and I told her that I don't know as I have to schedule these doctors' appointments this week, so she gave me until the 11th of this month to give her a final answer about the trip, but I personally doubt I'll go. I know that she will not be pleased if I tell her that I'll be working my vacation as she'll give me some excuse to go, or if she tries to get money from my account, then it won't be pretty. First, I got up late this morning, but hey, as long as my team Illinois won that game last night, it's all good. I found out that there are MORE APARTMENTS IN THE AREA (that is, the Skokie/Evanston area) courtesy of Miss Sandra Hannen (thank you Sandy!). But other than that, I had me a fun time at the Buddhist meeting last night and the food was GREAT, even better than the stuff I eat at home! And Miss Erin will be on vacation for most of next week as she'll be in Raleigh, North Carolina to see her grandparents. I know I shouldn't be writing so often but hey, as this IS the end of the month, I have the final say over my blog. As you might have heard, Miss Erin asked me if I was interested in Scattered Sites and I said yes as she had a feeling that I wanted to move on. But here's the catch: Miss Erin also told me that there are other people that are interested in the program too, so there may be a wait for me if I am not picked right away. I also found out that there are two spots open in that program, so I might get lucky. But other than that, I have gotten myself to a great start on the project, because I found the OFFICIAL websites for both Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Something for Megan and Jenny to consider. As for today, I have that YWD meeting to go to today so Amy will be picking me up tonight at about 6:30 p.m., so that should turn out interesting. I also have that World Peace Meeting at the Kies' house on Sunday with Lenore, hee hee hee! Not only that, but I also have the Skyway Conference Writers' Festival on April 7, so I will have a special entry f0r that day. Hello world!

How is Wednesday treating you? I hope that all is going well for you as it is for me. I have me a TON of good news. First, as of TODAY, Miss Erin had to pull me aside for a minute (more like three minutes) for a chat. She told me that there is a opening for Scattered Sites (in which Gregg runs, and I love him as a person for knowing what people like me go through) and who did she ask for interest? ME! :) I told her that I was interested in it as she knows that one, I'm the most ready for moving out, two, I'm wanting to get out of that group home that I LIVE IN, and three, some of my roommates are getting on my last nerve. That is one thing. I just have to tell Megan and Jenny (my partners for that project for Humanities) that I found some info on Jet Li, and that I will find info on Jackie Chan.
